There is no such thing as an average day at Friends of the Animals!
At 5pm our rescues continued after a call about mum and duckling attempting to cross the busy Horsebridge Hill Road in Newport.
After over an hour we managed to secure the ducklings with the help of some nice local neighbours who were happy to crawl into bushes with us to catch the family of 8. We were joined by Claire of Skippers Sanctuary who took the babies into her care.
Then it was onto another Newport Road for an injured baby gull and sibling. We were dive bombed understandably by their parent but we had no choice but to take when one had an injury and another behind a tyre.
Then we went to a road off Fairlee where a young gull had fallen a little way between two houses and the parents couldn’t fly down to feed. We were very happy to reunite this one with the parents back on the roof.

So by 7-20pm we were very hot but had finished!❤️
