1st Newport Beavers Bake Up a Storm for a Great Cause 🧁

There was plenty of sugar, smiles, and community spirit as the 1st Newport Beavers hosted a cake sale—and what a success it was!

Tables were piled high with delicious homemade treats, from colourful cupcakes to gooey brownies and classic sponge cakes. Friends, family, and local supporters turned out in force, eager to grab a sweet bite and support a good cause. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm (and impressive baking skills), the Beavers raised an amazing £60!

But the fun didn’t stop there. The group also welcomed a special visitor—Laura (pic below) — who spent time chatting with the Beavers about something close to many hearts: pets and animal welfare. Through fun discussions and plenty of questions, the Beavers learned how to care for animals responsibly, why kindness matters, and how even small actions can make a big difference in an animal’s life.

From learning how to keep pets happy and healthy to understanding the importance of protecting wildlife, Laura’s visit added an inspiring and educational twist to an already fantastic day.

With full bellies, new knowledge, and £60 raised, the 1st Newport Beavers should feel incredibly proud. It just goes to show what can be achieved with teamwork, creativity, and a sprinkle of icing sugar!
