This May, three amazing colleagues from Red Funnel will take on the mighty Isle of Wight Ultra Challenge – Running on behalf of Friends of the Animals and raising vital funds for animals in desperate need 🐾.
Their courage, endurance, and commitment will help support animals in need as they hike/run/jog/walk for Friends of the Animals.
The Full Ultra Challenge – James & Emily (image below: map – red route)
James Diaper and Emily Syvret will be tackling the full 106km route, starting from Chale and making their way around the Island. They set off in the early hours of Saturday 2nd May, expected to finish at Northwood County Showground sometime on Sunday 3rd May.
Over 36 to 40 hours, James and Emily will walk, jog, or run through the night, with little opportunity to rest and no time for sleep. Their determination and fitness will be truly tested as they take on one of the Island’s most challenging endurance events.
The Half Ultra Challenge – Nikki (image below: map – yellow route)
Alongside them, Customer Advisor Nikki Cascante will take on a whopping 52km route, completing half of the overall Ultra Challenge from Chale to Cowes. Nikki will set off at dawn on Saturday 2nd May and is expected to cross the finish line in darkness, navigating the Island’s hilly terrain along the way.
