Over Christmas, we received an urgent call that no one ever wants to make. Uhtred, a gentle cockerpoo, had been involved in a road traffic accident. Our hearts sank as we learned the extent of his injuries — his leg is fractured in three places.
Uhtred is in pain and needs urgent surgery, estimated to cost between £4,500 and £6,000. Without this operation, his bones will heal incorrectly, causing ongoing suffering and leaving amputation as the only option. We are desperate to prevent that outcome and give him the chance to keep his leg, his mobility, and his happy, playful life.
This sweet boy is a much-loved member of his family, and they are devastated to see him hurting. Right now, they need support — and so does he. Uhtred is the name of an ancient hero, and we’re sure this little warrior has what it takes.
