A Fragile Beginning
Rudy arrived at the sanctuary in May as a very weak lamb, unable to walk. A kind member of the public had spotted him alone in a field and brought him home for the weekend while checking with the farmer. Unfortunately, Rudy wasn’t drinking milk, and by the time he arrived at the sanctuary, he was in very poor condition.
Nurturing a Little Survivor
After stabilising Rudy and ensuring he was eating and gaining strength, we took him to the vets to check on a leg issue. Thankfully, it wasn’t broken! With months of patient care, Rudy gradually learned to walk again — and now he’s running, jumping, and exploring like any healthy lamb.
Mischief in the Meadow
Rudy has truly become a character at the sanctuary – here he is below with his best pal, Donut. He loves causing a little chaos among the older sheep and has captured the hearts of everyone who meets him. From a fragile little lamb to a lively, playful survivor, Rudy’s story is a heartwarming reminder of how love and care can transform a life.
