After spending a few months in foster care, a truly wonderful forever home has been found for Micky.
As a Jack Russell with all the classic Jack Russell traits, we knew he needed a home that really understood him. When our usual rehoming avenues didn’t bring the right match, we reached out to the Isle of Wight Observer for help—and it certainly worked! A lovely couple who knew the breed well got in touch straight away.
Following a successful home check and a meet-and-greet—where they admitted they already “loved him” and even asked if they could take him home “now” —Micky hopped into their car the very next day and began his new life.
He’s now enjoying his walks, exploring his big garden, and settling in beautifully. When we checked in after a couple of weeks to ask if they were happy to proceed with the adoption, their response was:
“You’re not having him back!”
Micky is such a happy boy, and he’s made his new parents just as happy.
A huge thank you to his original foster home for caring for him until his forever family came along.
