They say only mad dogs and Englishmen go out in the midday sun, but we can now add the Wight Wolves to that list! Despite the blazing heat, these incredible bikers suited up in their leathers, revved their engines, and hit the road for their annual Poker Run in support of Friends of the Animals.

Starting at Sandown Airport, the riders toured the Island, collecting cards at each stop before returning for prizes, a raffle, and a well-earned rest. It was the second year the Wight Wolves have held this fundraiser for us, and once again it was a roaring success.

Together, they raised £400 from the Poker Run itself, with an extra £133.46 dropped into our donation bucket, bringing the total to a fantastic £533.46!

A huge thank you goes to Garry and the whole Wight Wolves team for organising such a brilliant event (and for braving the heat in full biker gear!) And of course, thank you to everyone who joined in, donated, and supported the day.
Your support means more animals will have the food, care, and second chances they deserve–proving that kindness really does go the distance.
