We’re delighted to share that our recent store collection at Morrisons in Newport raised a fantastic £717.75 across two days!
A heartfelt thank you to Carrie, Community Champion at Morrisons Lake & Newport, for kindly allocating both Friday and Saturday to help raise funds for our animals. We’re also so grateful to everyone who stopped to chat, donate, and of course, to our brilliant volunteers who make it all happen.
We even had a surprise appearance from the famous local gull, Steven Seagull (no, not that one!) He perched proudly on our car, looking every bit the unofficial mascot. Steven’s a familiar face around the area. Although he appears to have a damaged wing, it’s fully healed and he flies just fine—much to the confusion of many well-meaning shoppers and rescue teams over the years. We’ve all learned to let Steven do Steven.
Thank you again to everyone who contributed. Every pound raised goes directly towards helping animals in need.
