Ducking Out of Trouble

We were called out after one little duckling was spotted alone, seemingly left behind by mum. The kind finders did their best to track her down, along with any siblings, but there was no sign.

After getting advice from the ever-brilliant Edward Albert, we asked our volunteer Jane if she could step in to collect the duckling — which, as it turns out, became ducklings when a second little straggler was discovered nearby.

A huge thank you to Jenny at the RSPCA Isle of Wight for taking them in, as we don’t have the facilities for waterfowl. Once again, a lovely example of people working together to help our island’s wildlife.
